Refund Policy

Effective date: September 11, 2026

This Refund Policy explains cancellation, withdrawal, and refund handling for subscriptions to bemyguest.

bemyguest is operated by MANDARINO, obrt za informatičke usluge, vl. Giorgio Nikolov, an obrt (a Croatian sole proprietorship / registered trade business) established in Croatia.

Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record for transactions. Paddle charges the payment method, handles applicable transaction taxes, issues payment documents, and administers approved refunds.

This Policy is intended to be read with:

If mandatory law or Paddle's applicable terms give a buyer greater rights than this Policy, those greater rights apply.

1. Free trial

Eligible plans may include a 14-day free trial.

The checkout page will clearly state:

  • whether payment details are required;
  • whether the subscription starts automatically when the trial ends;
  • the date of the first charge;
  • the amount and billing period;
  • how to cancel before being charged.

If the trial converts automatically, you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first payment.

Not using the Service during the trial does not automatically extend the trial period.

2. Cancelling a subscription

You may cancel a subscription at any time through:

  • the "Manage subscription" or receipt link provided by Paddle;
  • the Paddle buyer portal;
  • by contacting hello@bemyguest.link.

Unless the checkout or applicable law states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.

After cancellation:

  • you will not be charged for a later renewal;
  • access normally continues until the end of the paid period;
  • unused time in the current billing period is not automatically refunded.

Cancellation and refund are separate actions. Cancelling a subscription does not by itself refund a payment already made.

3. General refund rule

Except where required by law or approved under Paddle's discretionary process, completed transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

A refund may be available where:

  • mandatory consumer law provides a withdrawal or refund right;
  • the Service is materially defective, not as described, or cannot be delivered;
  • a duplicate or clearly incorrect charge occurred;
  • Paddle approves a discretionary refund;
  • MANDARINO, obrt za informatičke usluge, vl. Giorgio Nikolov asks Paddle to approve a refund in an appropriate case.

All refunds are ultimately issued by Paddle. MANDARINO, obrt za informatičke usluge, vl. Giorgio Nikolov does not send payment refunds directly to buyers.

4. Statutory consumer rights

Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Depending on the buyer's country, a consumer may have a limited period to withdraw from a digital-service transaction. The length and conditions differ by jurisdiction.

A right to withdraw may be affected where:

  • the buyer requested immediate access;
  • the Service began during the withdrawal period;
  • the buyer expressly consented to immediate performance;
  • the buyer acknowledged any legally permitted loss of withdrawal rights.

Paddle determines transaction-level eligibility under its current Buyer Terms, Refund Policy, and applicable law.

Business buyers may not receive the same statutory withdrawal rights as consumers.

5. Discretionary refund requests

Paddle may consider a discretionary refund request submitted within 14 days of a transaction, including a renewal, under its then-current policy.

Submitting a request within 14 days does not guarantee approval.

Relevant factors may include:

  • when the request was submitted;
  • whether the Service was accessed or used;
  • the reason for the request;
  • whether a duplicate or accidental charge occurred;
  • whether a technical issue was reported and could be resolved;
  • evidence of fraud, abuse, or repeated refund requests;
  • applicable law and Paddle's current terms.

Paddle may approve a full refund, a partial refund, or decline the request.

6. Technical problems or material defects

If a persistent technical problem prevents you from accessing material functionality described for your plan:

  1. Contact hello@bemyguest.link and describe the issue.
  2. Provide reasonable information needed to investigate, such as account email, screenshots, browser details, and the time of the problem.
  3. Allow a reasonable opportunity to correct or work around the issue.
  4. If the problem cannot be resolved, request a refund through Paddle.

A temporary outage, scheduled maintenance, minor bug, third-party outage, unsupported device, or issue caused by your connection, browser, configuration, content, or misuse does not automatically qualify for a refund.

This section does not limit mandatory rights for defective digital services.

7. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically where disclosed at checkout.

You are responsible for cancelling before the renewal date if you do not want the subscription to renew.

If an annual renewal was accidental, submit a refund request as soon as possible and, where possible, within 14 days of the renewal. Approval is not guaranteed and is subject to Paddle's policy and applicable law.

Renewal reminders will be sent where required by law or Paddle's applicable process.

8. Plan changes and unused time

Unless the checkout, account interface, or applicable law states otherwise:

  • downgrades take effect on the next renewal date;
  • upgrades may take effect immediately;
  • credits or prorated adjustments are calculated by Paddle where supported;
  • unused subscription time is not redeemable for cash;
  • partial months or years are not automatically refundable.

Any amount displayed in Paddle's checkout or buyer portal controls the relevant plan-change transaction.

9. Accounts suspended or terminated for breach

Refunds are generally not provided where access is suspended or terminated because of:

  • fraud;
  • payment abuse;
  • unlawful activity;
  • serious or repeated violation of the Terms of Service;
  • security threats;
  • unauthorised resale or account sharing;
  • publication of prohibited content.

This does not remove mandatory legal rights.

10. How to request a refund

Use one of the following methods:

  1. Open the Paddle receipt or subscription-confirmation email and choose the refund or support option.
  2. Use the Paddle buyer portal or Paddle buyer-support site.
  3. Contact hello@bemyguest.link with:
    • the email used for purchase;
    • the transaction or subscription identifier;
    • the purchase or renewal date;
    • the reason for the request;
    • relevant technical details, where applicable.

We may help investigate the product issue or send a recommendation to Paddle, but Paddle processes and issues the final payment refund.

Do not email complete payment-card details.

11. Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method where possible.

Timing depends on Paddle, the payment method, the bank, and applicable law. Access to the refunded subscription may end when the refund is approved or processed.

Currency-conversion differences, bank fees, or exchange-rate changes are outside our control, except where applicable law states otherwise.

12. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Before starting a chargeback, contact Paddle or hello@bemyguest.link so the issue can be investigated.

A chargeback or payment reversal may result in temporary suspension while the transaction is reviewed.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account termination. This does not affect lawful rights to dispute an unauthorised or invalid charge.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy for future transactions when the Service, Paddle's terms, or applicable law changes.

The version in effect on the transaction date generally applies to that transaction, unless a later version or mandatory law gives the buyer greater rights.
